








Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn visited the Sitagu International Buddhist University on Sunday.
During his visit, he paid homage to Sitagu Sayadaw Dr. Ashin Nyanissara and offered offertories. Following the homage, the Union Minister toured the Seminar Hall and the Eye Surgery Room and offered encouragement for the medical treatment to eye patients. He then proceeded to the Sarso Beikman building’s construction site in Mingalar Taung Nyunt Township, where he received updates on the construction plan, excavation work, land clearance and overall project progress.
The Union Minister also highlighted that the Sarso Beikman building, funded by the Indian Government would stand as a historical landmark symbolizing the valuable friendship between India and Myanmar in the fields of culture and literature. He urged for high-quality construction, in line with SAC Chairman's guidelines.
The Union Minister then observed the 3D model and ongoing construction of the Sarso Beikman building. The two-year Sarso Beikman building project is being developed on 2.18 acres of land in Uyin Ward, Mingalar Taung Nyunt Township. Upon completion, it will be a three-story reinforced concrete structure, measuring 160 feet long, 140 feet wide and 57 feet 8 inches high.
