Tour in Yangon: MSME Expo and Medicinal Raw Materials Plantation

At Kyaik Ka San Stadium in Yangon, plans are underway to organize Union level MSME Product Exhibition and Competition. On March 12th, Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than accompanied by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein inspected the preparation processes for the event. 

During the inspection, the Union Minister instructed for successful holding of the Exhibition through the collaborative efforts of all concerned departments. The Chief Minister also called for collaborative efforts of all concerned department for participation of all MSME businesses at the exhibition within the region. 

Then, the Union Minister and party toured around the preparation processes. The MSME Product Exhibition and Competition will be held with the aims for interaction among entrepreneurs for MSME development and market penetration, as well as promoting export of value-added products and achieving more public outreach for MSME products. 

The Union Minister and party later proceeded to the medicinal raw materials plantation under the management of Myanma Pharmaceutical Industry in Ngar Su Taung of Hlegu Township and heard reports on current working processes and future plans. Upon the reports, the Union Minister stressed for effective utilization of state-owned lands, by inviting local and international investments in accordance with adopted laws, by laws, orders and instructions. 

Then, the Union Minister and party toured around the plantation.
