Tour in Yangon: MOALI Deputy Minister makes inspection in Yangon

A work coordination meeting on achieving summer paddy and oil crops targeted yield was held on 13th November at Yangon Region Irrigation and Water Utilization Department with the attendance of the Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi and departmental officials.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister discussed matters on meeting summer paddy and oil crops targeted yield, acceleration of profitable crops plantation, growing sunflower effectively in multi cropping, spreading information about soil condition, systematic fertilizer broadcasting, sufficient agricultural water access as well as using pedigree seeds to increase yield per acre.

On 14th November, the Deputy Minister visited the construction site under economic multipurpose project initiated by First Golden Dragon Construction Co., Ltd in Insein Township and instructed to comply with the rules and regulations. Then, the Deputy Minister proceeded to Gyo Gone Jetty and inspected fish and prawn auction market.

On arrival at Yangon Fisheries Development Co., Ltd, the Deputy Minster heard reports on refrigerating and packing of marine products, arrangements to export marine products to Singapore and China and export process to Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait, India, UAE, USA, Bahrain. Upon reports, the Deputy Minister stressed on systematic production, storage and export process as well as long-term market development.
