





Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun, along with officials, inspected various electricity infrastructure projects in Yangon Region on June 28–29.
On the 28th, On the 28th, the Union Minister visited Hlaingthaya Township to inspect the relocation of 33kV and 11kV power lines required for the upgrading of the Yangon–Pathein and Yangon–Nyaungdon highways. He also visited the 230kV Hlaingthaya Main Substation to assess power transmission and equipment maintenance.
During the inspection, the Union Minister instructed for timely completion of relocation works, ensuring the safety measures. He also emphasized proper handling of materials, clearing of trees near power lines, and record-keeping of removed equipment.
On the 29th, the Union Minister visited a 300-megawatt solar power and agro-based hybrid project site in Taikkyi Township. They inspected land conditions and project plans.
The Union Minister stressed cooperation between the ministry and the company, proper land assessment, and integration with ongoing agriculture and livestock operations. Later, they visited the 230kV Myaungdagar Main Substation in Hmawby Township to inspect transmission and power distribution systems.
