







Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with the MSME entrepreneurs in Pyin Oo Lwin of Mandalay Region on Saturday.
Officials reported on implementation of agriculture and livestock works, MSME businesses and efforts for socio-economic status of people as well as the needs for work undertakings especially for coffee industry.
The Union Ministers and Mandalay Region Chief Minister explained the assistance to be provided for electricity, production of dairy products, plans for MSME Expo, efforts for industrial development based on agriculture and livestock sectors, permission for farmland, greening environ and environmental conservation works as well as the efforts for MSME development along with the progress of social and economic matters in the Pyin Oo Lwin District.
The Prime Minister discussed matters for MSME development, stressing the need to improve the packaging of products, sufficient supply locally produced raw materials and boosting production of quality products to meet the export standard. He reiterated that being known as the Cherry City or Flower City, Pyin Oo Lwin is famous as the Resort Town. Plans are underway to establish Pyin Oo Lwin as the City of Education and Health, keeping momentum of existing pleasantness. He urged all to make cooperative efforts for emergence as the Clean and Green City.
After the meeting, the Prime Minister viewed the display of local products including coffee and foodstuff.
The Prime Minister and party later visited the National Kandawgyi Gardens where the Flower Festival is being held to mark the centennial of the garden. He viewed the Ginkgo Biloba tree, which has been in the gardens for nearly 100 years.
The Ginkgo Biloba is a prominent plant in China, Japan and western countries. Many of these trees covering yellow leaves can be seen in various Provinces of China during autumn. Some Ginkgo Biloba trees can thrive for more than thousand years.
During the visit, the Prime Minister planted Cherry tree to mark the 100 anniversary of the gardens. He also heard reports on the efforts for sustainability of the gardens, and instructed for systematic display of the documentary photos of the flower festival, constant maintenance works for greening and cleaning of the garden along with the proper flow of water.
