





On 4th March, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan made inspection in Putao Township for the acceleration of multiple cropping and oil crop plantations to ensure local food sufficiency. In Auk Sam Gaung Village, the Chief Minister inspected the thriving 5-acre mustard plantation of U Khaung Khin which is initiated with 3.5 million kyat of State Economic Promotion Fund Second period.
There, the Chief Minister heard reports on matters pertaining to village development, irrigation and necessities to renovate village football ground. Upon reports, the Chief Minister coordinated requirements, provided cash assistance and seeds to accelerate mustard plantations and building fences.
The Chief Minister also inspected to construct retaining wall and canals to prevent Samgung Creek erosion and provided 1.5 million kyat cash assistance for football ground renovation. Subsequently, the Chief Minister and party inspected the construction of 42.044 km long Upper Sangong-Lonnadam-Ziyadam road leading to the snow-capped mountain and upgrading process along the road.
They also enjoyed the natural scenery of Putao area at Mountain View point. At the briefing hall, the Chief Minister heard reports on road projects during 2024-2025 Fiscal year, current work implementations, further project plans, coordinated necessities for timely completion of the projects and inspected the road expansion process between mile posts 8/7 and 9/0 and earthen road construction process between mile posts 9/0 and 10/1.
Then, the Chief Minister met with the local residents and provided livestock medicines and vaccines for poultry and piggery farms. At kauk Ka Htaung Ward, the Chief Minister attended Summer Paddy Test Planting Ceremony at Mat Pan Ground and met with the local farmers.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister stressed on mustard plantation acceleration to ensure edible oil sufficiency and assured to provide pedigree seeds. Then, the Chief Minister provided fertilizers, vegetable seeds to the local farmers and enjoyed the summer puddy planting demonstration and performances of traditional dance troupes.
