Tour in Pathein: Skill enhancement training and staff meeting

Union Minister for Labor U Myint Naung inspected the Skill Enhancement Training Center in Pathein Township of Ayeyawaddy Region on Sunday morning. In-charge of the center clarified the current work implementations on sustainable production of skilled workers and conducting national level skill assessment. 

After hearing reports, the Union Minister pointed out that MSME training courses will be conducted during 2024-2025 Fiscal Year with the collaborative efforts of the relevant departments, MSME entrepreneurs and organizations to produce skilled workers for the development of small and medium enterprises.

The Skill Enhancement Training Center has already conducted Electrical and Welding Training course with 80 trainees in 2021-2022 Fiscal Year and Electronic and Air Conditioner Installation and Repairing course in 2022-2023 Fiscal Year and 2023-2024 Fiscal Year with 100 trainees respectively.

The new course will be conducted on 4th of March, it’s learnt. For skill assessment, 203 employees for Electrical position level (1) and 63 for level (2), 21 employees for carpentry position level (1)  and 23 employees for Brick Masonry position level 1 were tested in 2023-2024  Fiscal Year.

On the same day, the Union Minister met with the officials and staff who are serving in Pathein Township and stressed to practice civil service ethic and follow the existing laws and by-laws and called for the unity of the officials and staff in fulfilling their duties.

Then, the Union Minister and party visited the regional offices of the Department of Labour and social security organization as well as the social security clinic and coordinated requirements.
