Tour in Nay Pyi Taw: Belarusian President visits Maravijaya Buddha Image

The visiting Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Acting President Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited the Maravijaya Buddha Image at Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, on Friday.

The two leaders offered flowers, water and oil lamps to the Buddha Image before paying homage to the pagoda in a clockwise direction. They then toured the repository and heard the reports on the Buddha Image’s enshrinement process.

The Belarusian President signed the guest book at the prayer hall and rang the Saddadhipati Bell. The delegation later departed the pagoda, where they were seen off by the Acting President and relevant officials.
