Tour in Mandalay: Heritage preservation and pilgrim tour

On 25th August, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party visited the Mandalay Royal Palace and inspected the city walls preservation in the west of royal palace and the arrangements to reconstruct Sishay bridge.

Upon reports, the Prime Minister instructed to emphasize on preserving the original structures of the bridge and the systematic reconstruction process. Next, the Prime Minister and party visited Maha Atula Waiyan (Atumashi) Monastery and donated fruits, flowers, water and oil lamps to Sula Muni Yote Shin Taw Buddha Image.

They also donated cash assistance for all-round renovation of the monastery and provided necessary instructions on long-term durability of the monastery. They then visited the Shwe Nandaw Monastery (Shwe Kyaung) and paid homage to the Buddha image and gave necessary instructions on systematic preservation of the monastery, maintaining the Myanmar historical artworks.

On arrival at Maha Thakya Marazein Kyauk Daw Gyi pagoda, the Prime Minister and party paid homage to the pagoda, donated flowers, water and cash assistance for the all-round renovation of the pagoda. On the same day, the Prime Minister and party visited Maha Dhammikarama Shwekyin Monastery, paid homage to the patron sayadaw and donated offertories.

They also paid homage to the Buddha Image and the images and statues of the Shwekyin Sect Sayadaws at Kyaun Kyaung Monastery. Later, the Prime Minister and party inspected the preservation process of Mya Nan San Kyaw Golden Palace and viewed the displays of the historical photos of the palace and royal accessories.
