Tour in Loikaw: Providing assistance and renovation works

Kayah State Government provided the provisions of cash and foodstuff to the displaced persons who lost their homes due to the terrorist acts and natural disaster. Member of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Admiral Tin Aung San attended the ceremony, held in Loikaw on 15th January.

During the occasion, 211 million kyat cash assistance were provided for renovation of 251 houses damaged by the terrorist acts.

In addition, rice, edible, beans and pulses and salt were provided for over 1,600 individuals affected by natural disaster and over 300 displaced person who returned to Loikaw.

Later, the Deputy Prime Minister visited the Information and Public Relations Department to inspect the repairing of office building which had been damaged during the armed conflict. He also viewed the preparations for children library, mobile library, book store, small museum, reading rooms and display of publications as well as the community center and training hall.  At the briefing hall of the staff housing in Naung Yar (A) Ward, the Deputy Prime Minister oversaw the completion of repairing tasks of housings, resettlement of the staff and future implementation works.
