Tour in KyaukPhyu: Inspection at pipeline project and providing assistance

Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin on October 4th made inspection on the development of KyaukPhyu District.

The Chief Minister and party visited the Southeast Asian Oil and Natural Gas Pipeline Project in Madae Island, and heard reports on work process of distributing oil and natural gas, security measures, stockpiling of the equipment and fire safety measures.

In meeting with officials, the Chief Minister discussed matters on annual distribution of oil and natural gas, arrival of oil tankers, employment opportunity for local residents and socio-economic progress. During the visit, the Chief Minister encouraged the census enumeration process to the local and foreign staff at the project site.

The Chief Minister later attended a ceremony to provide assistance to the displaced persons at Sander Linkara Monastery. He stressed the importance of peace and stability for regional development, and urged all to strive for the benefits for the nation and religion once they returned to their natives.

During the ceremony, rice provisions were provided for the displaced persons. The Chief Minister and party also visited KyaukPhyu Agriculture, Livestock and Industrial High School and District People’s Hospital and provided assistance.

At the State Government Yeiktha, the Chief Ministr met with the district and township level departmental personnel and heard reports on work undertakings. During the meeting, rice and foodstuff were provided for the departmental personnel and security forces.
