Tour in Kunming: Visiting to the University and College in Kunming

On 9th December, Deputy Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Aung Zeya visited Kunming University of Science and Technology in Yunnan Province of China and met with the concerned officials.

During the meeting, the two sides made discussions on science and technology development and exchanging scholars. They also exchanged memorable gifts commemorating the Diamond Jubilee of China-Myanmar Diplomatic Relations in 2025 and strengthening of the existing Phauk Phaw friendship.

Then, the delegation overviewed the lab research processes of the students at the Lithium Iron Battery and Materials Technology National Research Department.

In the afternoon, Myanmar delegation visited Yunnan Technological College (Yunnan Industry and Trade Vocational College), heard reports on vocational courses as well as the courses offering for retired military staff and local and abroad cooperation activities.

They then overviewed the robotics projects of the students who are practicing to participate in World level technological competitions and installation of automation.  They also made a tour to workshops where the students are practicing with industrial machines and robotic body parts making using CNC machines. They also visited the museum where the historical records and records of the students who won the World technological awards are displayed.

During the meeting with the officials, both sides discussed matters pertaining to accelerate the science and technological cooperation between the two countries.
