Tour in Kunming: MIFER Union Minister's tour in Kunming

Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr. Kan Zaw attended on August 16th participated in the opening ceremony of the 7th China-South Asia Expo and the 27th China Kunming Export and Import Fair, held at the Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Later in the afternoon, the Union Minister, accompanied by delegation leaders from Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam, visited the Guandu Pilot Free Trade Zone. Along the way, they observed the Junfa-New Luosiwan International Trade City and Junfa-New Luosiwan International Trade Mall. Upon reaching the China (Yunnan) Pilot Free Trade Zone, they explored the International Trade Enterprises Cluster Park, Myanmar booths at the International Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center, and the Tik Tok Live Broadcasting Room from the China-South Asia Southeast Asia Cross-Border E-Commerce Industry Cluster of Guandu E-commerce Industrial Park.

The delegation engaged in discussions about investment opportunities and met with the District Chief of Guandu District People's Government, who provided insights into the investment conditions and future plans of the pilot zone.

This was followed by presentations on investments in Guandu by the Executive Officer of the China (Yunnan) Pilot Free Trade Zone and officials from various companies. Later, the Union Minister met with Myanmar students attending Yunnan Agricultural University, providing guidance on education cooperation services. In the evening, Union Ministers Dr. Kan Zaw and U Maung Maung Ohn took part in the 4th Lancang-Mekong Audiovisual Week and the National Theme Day for Cambodia.
