







The award ceremony for the 24th Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition at the Kayah State level was held in Loikaw on Thursday. The ceremony was attended by member of the State Administration Council Porel Aung Thein, and Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin, along with other officials, judges, contestants, and the audience. In his opening speech, the Chief Minister pledged to provide necessary assistance to the winners for their participation in the union level competition.
This was followed by the presentation of honorary cash prizes, medals, and certificates of honor to the winners of the singing, dancing, song composing, and musical instrument playing events of the Kayah State Level 24th Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition.
The winning contestants also performed for the attendees. A total of 369 contestants participated in the Kayah State level competition. In the afternoon, SAC member and party visited Technological University (Loikaw) to inspect the construction of a 160-capacity, 2-storey hostel.
Following this, they proceeded to the Sports and Physical Education Institute (Loikaw), where they met with the Principal, teachers, and students. During the visit, the SAC member delivered a speech and presented cash assistance to the institute. Then, they viewed a display of documentary photos and sports gear, and conducted a tour of the hostel, library, computer room, and training hall.
