







Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw visited Kalay University on March 15th and met with the Pro-Rector, Professors and faculties.
After hearing reports on academic matters, the Chief Minister provided the needs. They then proceeded to the local Commanding Headquarters and held a coordination meeting for smooth process of matriculation exams in Kalay District. The attendees discussed the preparation work plans including traffic safety, fire prevention measures, systematic management of exam papers and security measures.
The Chief Minister later went to the City Hall and met with the departmental personnel, community elders and local farmers. An official provided update reports on regional development works in Kalay District. During the meeting, 300 bags of urea fertilizer were presented to the farmers from three villages, as well as cash rewards to the departmental personnel and security members.
The Chief Minister explained the work undertakings for ensuring peace, stability and rule of law as well as the regional development efforts for education, health, agriculture, livestock and MSME businesses.
After the meeting, the Chief Minister and party viewed the thriving sunflower plantation in Indainggyi Village. Kalay District targets to plant over 71,000 acre sunflower during 2024-2026 cultivation season.
