Tour in Innwa: SAC Chairman inspects ancient infrastructures in Innwa

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited Innwa Ancient City in Mandalay Region on Friday.

On arrival at the Lawka Tharaphu Pagoda, the Prime Minister and wife offered flowers, water and lights to the Buddha Image. They then toured the pagoda, observing the preservation of ancient religious edifices. The Prime Minister instructed the need to make systematic renovation measures without damaging the original structures for long term existence of the ancient religious edifices.

During the visit, the Prime Minister and wife made cash donations for all-round renovation of the pagoda. They then inspected the City Wall and Moat of Innwa Ancient City, and instructed for renovation works. They then visited the Maha Zeya Pahta-Maung Oh Bridge and Brick Lane on TadaU-Innwa Road Section, and outlined the plans for renovation.
