Tour in Bagan: Russian delegation visits ancient pagodas in Bagan

On 16th November, Russian delegation led by Head of Republic of Buryatia Mr. Alexey Sambuevich Tsydenov left for Bagan-Nyaung U from Nay Pyi Taw. On arrival at Nyaung U airport, the delegation was welcomed by Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Daw Nu Mra Zan and officials. They later visited to Shwezigon, Htee Lo Min Lo and Ananda pagodas in Bagan Cultural Heritage Site and paid homage to the pagodas and donated flowers, water, oil lamps and cash.

Subsequently, the Russian delegation visited Bagan Archaeological Museum. In the afternoon, Magway Region Chief Minster U Tint Lwin hosted luncheon for Russian delegation and Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Iskander Azizov at Aureum Palace Hotel.

After the luncheon, the delegation explored the fermented bean paste production process which is one of the famous Bagan local products. They then proceeded to U Ba Nyein Lacquerware shop and oversaw the production process and exchanged gifts.

In the evening, Russian delegation led by Head of Republic of Buryatia Mr. Alexey Sambuevich Tsydenov left for Russian Federation via Mandalay International Airport. The delegation was seen off by Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Iskander Azizov and officials.
