













A ceremony to open the new Kangyidauk Kindergarten in Kangyidauk Township of Ayeyawady Region, was held on Saturday.
Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win, Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win, and officials attended and formally opened the new three-storey RC school building, built with a budget of over 360 million kyats. In his speech, the Union Minister highlighted the importance of early childhood development from birth to age eight, noting that this is the most critical period for physical, cognitive, emotional and social growth.
He said the new kindergarten will support the development of children aged 3 to 5 in the township. The Chief Minister also spoke, emphasizing that children are future leaders of the nation and thanked the government for providing quality childcare facilities.
Appreciation certificates were then presented to donors who provided the land for the school. The kindergarten currently provides early childhood education for 75 children. In the afternoon, Union Minister Dr. Soe Win visited the Pathein Child Care Center, and inspected the center’s facilities and provided necessary support.
The Union Minister and party also visited the Pathein Home-based Vocational Training School, where they observed women attending the vocational courses.
