The European Union's High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Miroslav Lajcak, has expressed deep concern over the country's escalating political tensions, particularly the secessionist rhetoric from Respublika Srpska, Bosnia's Serb-majority entity.

Lajcak noted that the previously constructive atmosphere, which led to the initialing of the EU's Stabilization and Association Agreement, is rapidly deteriorating.

In response to these developments, the EU delegation in Bosnia condemned the threats issued by Respublika Srpska's leadership, emphasizing that such actions are unacceptable and must cease.

They reminded that Bosnia's constitution is the nation's supreme legal document, and its provisions, including those of the Constitutional Court, must be fully respected.
