Tons of smoldering garbage stuck in downtown Gaza City

Thousands of tons of smoldering garbage arranged in random areas are stuck in central Gaza City.

Local authorities believe the cause is the dropping of phosphorus bombs or aerial bombs by Israeli forces in recent days, which triggered fires in the areas where the garbage is piled, causing health problems for the population.

The mayor of Gaza City is calling for "quick action" to help remove the garbage and "an extension of the truce" to assist the civilian population.
