Thua Thien Hue declares emergency due to natural disaster

The Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee in Viet Nam has declared an emergency situation in response to coastal landslides affecting the border area between Phú Vang district and Hue city. Continuous heavy rains, strong winds, high tides, and large waves have led to landslides along a coastal stretch of approximately 1,000 meters, extending 70 to 100 meters inland.

This poses significant risks to inter-commune roads, local businesses, and households. Local authorities are urgently mobilizing resources and personnel to monitor the landslide situation closely. They are implementing prompt response measures to ensure the safety of residents and tourists in the affected area.
