Thousands pay respects in Tokyo shrine, marking 80 years after World War II

Tens of thousands brave the blazing heat to pay their respects at Yasukuni war shrine in Tokyo, marking 80 years since Japan’s surrender in World War II. Yasukuni Shrine honors 2.5 million, mostly Japanese soldiers who died in late 19th century, and also enshrines convicted war criminals.
