A group of 38 Honduran migrants arrived at Ramon Villeda Morales Airport as part of a new U.S. initiative known as "Project Homecoming." The program, launched by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), offers undocumented migrants $1,000 stipend and travel assistance in exchange for voluntarily leaving the United States.

The individuals departed from Houston, Texas, aboard a charter flight arranged by U.S. authorities. According to DHS, participants retain the option to apply for legal reentry in the future. This group marks the first return of migrants under the voluntary repatriation scheme.
