Thingyan in Taunggyi: Chief Minister visits pavilions, enjoys performances

Taunggyi of southern Shan State celebrated the 2nd day of Thingyan on Friday. Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye and many other concerned officials visited the Pavilion in front of the Shan State Government in TitTaw Ward to view the Yein troupes’ competition and enjoyed the entertainment programme.

The Chief Minister also visited the Taunggyi Atar Thingyan Pavilion near the Myoma Market and presented cash awards to singers and Yein troupes. It’s reported that people in Taunggyi have been celebrating the Myanmar traditional Thingyan water festival happily.
