Thingyan in Nay Pyi Taw :Lots of places are teeming with visitors

With the aims to usher the 1385 Myanmar Era New Year,to preserve the intangible cultural heritage from generation to generation and to wash away one's sins and bad luck of the previous year, people across the country have been celebrating the Myanmar Atar Thingyan Festival happily and joyously.

This splendid celebration is also happening in the major cities such as Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon and Mandalay. Also, impressive festivities have been taking place in lots of places in Nay Pyi Taw known for its popular landmarks such as Hlay Khwin Taung resort and people in Nay Pyi Taw have been spending their holidays, enjoying entertainments of any kind.

Thingyan is the Myanmar’s New Year Festival that usually occurs in middle of April. The dates of the festival are observed as public holidays throughout the country. Thingyan or water throwing festival, which can catch the attraction of tourists, is one of the most popular festivals for Buddhists.
