Thingyan Festival of MOTC: Ministry’s Thingyan Pandal opened in Nay Pyi Taw

State Administration Council member Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San and his wife attended an opening ceremony of the Maha Thingyan Water Pandal at the Myanma Railways headquarters in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.

At the ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister said the festival is held to preserve the Myanmar traditional culture of Maha Thingyan, to participate the water festival joyously and to welcome the Myanmar New Year with all blessings of unity, harmony and charity.

After that, the Deputy Prime Minister and party cut the ribbon to opened the water pandal and happily participated in the water throwing festival with the attendees. The Yein dance troupes also performed the Thingyan dances and songs.
