Thandwe Situation: State Chief Minister Provides Assistance To Flood-Affected People

Rakhine State Chief Minister U Nyi Pu on Tuesday inspected rescue works and provided assistance as floods continued in Thandwe Township of Rakhine State.

The Chief Minister provided cash assistance to 80 flood-affected people taking shelter at a prayer hall at the foothill of Shwesantaw Mountain. 

The Chief Minister also inspected the flooded roads of Thandwe-Gwa, Thandwe-Ngapali and Thandwe-Kinmaw. He instructed concerned officials to work to get a good drainage system.

On the same day, the Chief Minister provided aid to 160 flood-affected people taking shelter at the Shweanntaw Pagoda prayer hall.

Rescue works are underway by the Tatmadawmen, Police Force members, Fire Services members and the locals in Thandwe Township.
