Thailand and Malaysian authorities have arrested two suspects in Songkhla, Thailand, and seized 261 kilograms of ice. The network allegedly used Songkhla as a temporary storage location before attempting to smuggle the drugs through Thailand’s southern border provinces en route to a third country.

The successful operation was a collaborative effort between Thailand’s Narcotics Suppression Bureau, bolstered by intelligence sharing with the Royal Malaysia Police. Thai authorities emphasized the importance of international cooperation in combating transnational crime. The joint effort with Malaysian police was crucial in uncovering and dismantling this network operating in the sensitive border region.
