Thai National Day: Celebration Held In Yangon

Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon celebrates the National Day of Thailand on Monday.

The celebration also marked the birthday anniversary of His Majesty the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadel of Thailand and Thailand's Father Day.

The government officials, diplomats, high ranking officials, Military attaché and the invited guests attended the special occasion.

The traditional dances from Thailand were also performed during the reception.

Chargé d’ Affaires of Royal Thai Embassy Mr. Narong Boonsatheanwong delivered speech.

He stressed that Myanmar and Thailand are the neighboring countries and there also have a good bilateral relations and strong bond of friendships.

In 5th of December, Thai people do the celebrations and candlelit ceremonies around Thailand, both in the form of large-scale organised events and smaller gatherings of groups of individuals in also local communities.

The day also marks a highly important day when the global community celebrates the “World Soil Day” as declared by the United Nations General Assembly, in recognition of the remarkable achievements of His Majesty the late King in this field.
