The 'Wild Boars' soccer team, who attracted global attention when they were rescued from a flooded cave in Thailand, were given the presidential treatment on Tuesday with a visit with the president of Argentina. The team was touring Argentina's Casa Rosada presidential palace in Buenos Aires when they were surprised by the president and his vice president.
The presidential meet-and-greet comes just days after the team was honoured by the International Olympic Committee at the summer Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires on Saturday. The boys, aged between 11 and 17, and their 25-year-old coach, had been exploring Chiang Rai's Tham Luang cave in Thailand on June 23 when they became trapped by rising waters.
