Thadingyut Night Market: BKK Night Market For Thadingyut Festival In Yangon

BKK night market for Thadingyut Festival was held for five days at Myanmar Culture Valley in Yangon.

The last day of the BKK night market which started from the 10th of October was crowded than the former days. The BKK night market took place both in Yangon and Mandalay and it was the 27th time.

Organizer, BKK Night Market, May Myat Aung said “We started the BKK night market two years ago because we want to give people in Yangon the taste of street market in Bangkok. Today is the last day for Thadingyut Festival but we have plans for next month, Tazaungdaing festival also in here Myanmar Culture Valley.”

The market is famous for its collection of clothing and accessories and along with Momo play, claw machines and arcade games inside the market.

Visitor, Than Win said “Many people in Yangon are the office staff - sometimes we get bored of our daily worklife. The night market like this helps us to relax in holiday.”

The market also included game activities, lucky draw, dance troops’ entertainment and stage show programs.

Food Seller, Nan Mon Htwe said “I sell Seafood soup. It’s the first time for me to participate and sell the food in BKK night market. It’s crowded here – we’re very tired but we’re very happy as the business is good.”

Different from the other night markets, BKK night market highlights mostly Thai food; barbecue, salad, seafood, noodles and sweets.
