





Families of Myanma Radio and Television under the Ministry of Information celebrated the Thadingyut Lighting Festival at the MRTV in Nay Pyi Taw Tatkone on Thursday.
Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn participated in the celebration, offering flowers, water and oil lamp at the Maha Aung Bodhi Gyo Shit Khwin Pagoda and taking part in 1,000 oil lamps offering.
The celebration continued at the MRTV Park where the participants enjoyed the Bonfire Festival. As a gesture to commemorating the 79 anniversary of MRTV which will fall on 15th February 2025, the Union Minister together with the staff families released 79 hot-air balloons, before touring around the food stalls, selling the traditional foods of ethnic people.
The celebration includes performance by MRTV Modern Music Troupe, song contest and variety of game activities. A new suspension bridge was also opened during the celebration at which the MRTV entrance arch, roundabout, main building and Diamond Jubilee Museum are illuminated with colourful lights.
