Terrorists Arrested: So-called STA members arrested in Yangon

Members of so-called Special Task Agency (STA) were arrested as they arranged explosive works during Thingyan period in Yangon. The arrest was made according to the information by the dutiful citizens. On 4th April, STA member Zaw Htet Aung @ Nyi Nyi was arrested in Kyimyindaing Township.

Further interrogation led to the arrest of Ye Min Paing @ Ye Ye Min @ Win Lwin Oo in the same township, together with various guns, magazine, ammunition and related items for making improvised mine. It was found out that the two suspects attended explosive device making training at KNLA Batallion (6) near Kyar Inn Seikkyi in September 2021.

After that training, STA was formed with 20 members including the absconder former Pyithu Hluttaw Representative of NLD Party for Kunchankone Township Soe Thura Tun. Effective action will be taken against the suspects in line with the law.
