




The Myanmar delegation, led by Deputy Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Aung Zeya, visited Yunnan Energy Investment Group in Kunming of China on December 10th.
The officials provided an overview of the construction of power plants and power supply systems in Southeast Asian nations, including Myanmar, as well as work processes for electric vehicles and future carbon reduction plans. The Deputy Minister emphasized the need to conduct technological research.Upon arriving at Kunming University of Science and Technology (New Campus) in Chenggong, the delegation observed the high-voltage lab and other facilities that support the balanced power supply of industrial power systems and power distribution plants.
They also toured the Electrical Practical Rooms, the Key Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence, where they learned about research works and the use of robotic technology and advanced technologies at the Innovation Manufacturing Laboratory.
The delegation also visited the university’s library, and viewed the displays of historical records, photos, paintings, and books on religion, culture, and ethnic matters, as well as the use of advanced technologies.
