teamLab museum’s digital artworks are hugely popular worldwide

Tokyo's new teamLab museum was opened on 5th February. A collection of 50 digital artworks are displayed in Japan’s tallest skyscraper. The exhibition features a mix of natural and otherworldly motifs, from slow-blooming flowers to a vast room of cables.

The exhibition is well poised to take advantage of a recent boom in tourism to Japan, with visitor numbers hitting a record monthly high in December. Team Lab was founded in 2011 and also runs another museum in Tokyo called "teamLab Planets”. The collective has shown its hugely popular artworks worldwide, and has several permanent exhibitions in China.
