


The very first time non-stale robe weaving and offering to the Maravijaya Buddha Image, the tallest of its kind globally and situated in the Buddha Park of Dakkhinathiri Township in Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw will be held during Tazaungdaing light festival, it’s reported.
The Tazaungdaing light festival of the Maravijaya Buddha Image will be held for three days from November 25th to 27th. The weaving of non-stale robe with 9 looms will be begun at nightfall of 26th November at water fountain flatform of the Buddha Image and the weaved robe will be donated to the Buddha Image at the dawn of November 27th.
The festival will be organized in grand scale including offering of 9,000 oil lamps, uninterrupted reciting of Pathana Dhamma discourses, reciting religious verses by the Wut Associations, setting off fireworks and launching of lighting and ornamenting hot balloons, light of colorful ornamental lights, shop stalls of MSMEs local products including foodstuff and commodities and Myanmar traditional snacks shops and fun fairs for the children.
