Tazaungdaing Holiday Sightseeing Tour: Scenic delights on Taunggyi-Pawmu railway route

The Myanmar Railway, under the Ministry of Transport and Communications, is offering a special sightseeing tour on the Taunggyi-Pawmu route during the Tazaungdaing holidays, from November 25th to 27th.

On Sunday morning, Taunggyi residents and visitors attending the renowned Tazaungdaing Hot-Air Balloon Festival took a joyous train ride. The train departs at 8:00 am from Taunggyi Station, covering an 11.41-mile journey that takes about 1 and a half hours.

The excursion promises a delightful experience for passengers, showcasing the breathtaking beauty of the region. Along the picturesque route, travelers have the opportunity to revel in the scenic wonders near Bawa Sansara Roundabout, with a 15-minute stop at Htee Thein Station.

Upon reaching Pawmu Station, the train pauses for an hour, allowing passengers to explore the destination. The tour is conducting, using a 2,000-horsepower engine train, featuring two coaches for both upper and ordinary classes, along with a control coach. For those opting for the upper class, the return trip is priced at 4,000 kyats, while the ordinary class fare is set at 2,000 kyats.
