Tazaungdaing Festival: Hot Air Balloons released at Maravijaya Buddha Park

Tazaungdaing Hot Air Balloon Releasing Festival took place at the Maravijaya Buddha Park in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday. Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife attended the festival, and on their arrival at the venue, they were welcomed by the national races dance troupes who perform the cultural dances.

After the ceremonial ribbon cutting event, 500 small hot air balloons were released along with the firework displays and performing the Tazaungdaing song. The Prime Minister and wife and attendees later enjoyed the releasing of Sein Na Pan and Nya Mee Kyi hot air balloons, where the national races dance troupes were performed with songs and dances.

The Prime Minister and wife later paid homage to the Maravijaya Buddha Image, offering flower, water and light, touring around the pagoda platform and participating in offering 3,600 oil lamps together with the attendees. Tazaungdaing Lighting Festival in Maravijaya Buddha Park is scheduled to be held from November 13th to 15th.

The festival will include uninterrupted recitation of Parittas, recitation of religious verses, displaying fireworks, releasing hot air balloons and weaving non-stale robes. In addition, the LED lightings will be illuminated in the Buddha Park, along with the exhibition of local products, foodstuff, consumer goods and traditional snacks. Moreover, the visitors can enjoy the theatrical drama performance by the artistes of Fine Art Department and Pho Chit Drama Troupe.
