Tazaungdaing Celebration: 9,000 lights offering and hot air balloons releasing

Rakhine State Government organized 9,000 lights offering ceremony in conjunction with hot air balloon releasing festival at Lawka Nanda Pagoda in Sittwe on November 15th.

Chief Minister U Htein Lin and wife and officials participated in the ceremony together with the departmental personnel and local community. Myanmar Buddhists offered oil lamps, dedicating to the Lord Buddha and released hot air balloons to offer Sula Muni Ceti from the Celestial Abode. The annual celebration has been organized in the month of Tazaungmone in a grand manner.
