Taunggyi Water Supply Project: Meeting on final feasibility study report for project held

The meeting regarding the Final Feasibility Study Report for the Taunggyi City Water Supply Project in Shan State (South) was held at the Shan State Government Office's meeting hall on October 23.

First, the Director of Shan State Development Committee provided a briefing on the current status of the Taunggyi City Water Supply Project based on the MoU agreement and then representatives from Great Hai Par Co., Ltd + ECOCARE Co., Ltd presented the Final Feasibility Study Report on the water supply project.

Following that, discussions were held with Shan State Government ministers and members of the EOI committee. Chief Minister U Aung Aung addressed the discussions, emphasizing the need to ensure that the water supply project for Taunggyi, a city with a large population, does not negatively impact the availability of water in the water resource areas.

He requested a report on the feasibility of ensuring sufficient water supply for those areas. Additionally, he stressed the importance of implementing the project with proper technology to ensure efficient water distribution within Taunggyi.

He instructed the company and relevant departments to collaborate and quickly submit a comprehensive project plan. Finally, he concluded by highlighting the importance of securing adequate water resources.
