Following the Head of State's instructions, a sightseeing round-trip tour on the Taunggyi-Pawmu rail section was operated on October 28th to commemorate the newly opened rail section.
The tour will also be operated on the 29th, free of charge for local residents, departmental personnel, and tour agencies. The tour covers a distance of 11.41 miles and lasts about 1.5 hours, including a 15-minute stop at Hti Thein Station to enjoy the natural landscapes near Bawa Samsara Roundabout, and an hour-long stop at Pawmu Station.
Plans are underway to run the Taunggyi-Pawmu sightseeing tour on every weekend at a designated rate. Additionally, arrangements will be made for charter trains for tour companies, tour agencies, and private schools.
