






A training course on "Analyzing Yield Gap for Target Yield Achievement" was held at the Agriculture Extension and Rural Development Training Center in Nay Pyi Taw from July 1 to 3.
Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Tin Htut attended and encouraged the trainees. As part of the program, trainees conducted field surveys with 65 farmers across eight townships in Nay Pyi Taw. Instructors from the Yezin Agricultural University taught trainees how to fill out survey forms and provided guidance on necessary data.
At the closing ceremony, the Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of collaboration among the Department of Agriculture, Department of Agricultural Research, and Yezin Agricultural University to boost agricultural productivity.
He stressed the need for research-based farming, high-quality export crops, market research, and the use of AI to support farmers in accessing information. Certificates of honor were awarded to 13 trainers, and completion certificates were given to 76 trainees.
