Talisman Sabre military exercises involving 19 nations get underway

Talisman Sabre is the Australia’s largest defense exercise, involving tens of thousands of troops and 19 different countries. It’s a carefully orchestrated display of military might by Australia, the US and more than a dozen others where the long-range rocket system has been publicly tested for the first time.

In recent years to defending Australia’s northern approaches, $1.6 billion dollars is being spent expanding and accelerating the purchase of long range missile systems – capable of firing at a range of 500 kilometers.
