Taking Study Tour: Myanmar delegation took study tour to Chuxiong City

As the activity of China-Myanmar Cultural Exchange Week 2024 holding from 11th to 15th November, Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn took the study tour to Kunming City and Chuxiong City.

In the afternoon on November 12, the Myanmar delegation took the study tour to Yunnan Vocational College of Transportation in Anning City of Yunnan Province. First, the Union Minister and members observed the test driving of unmanned vehicle called Apollo, Apollo Cloud, Apollo Space, Apollo Pilot included in the Smart City of Digital Urban Transportation system, design formulation of the students, technology of auto loading and unloading cargos at the port, Navigation System, operation of speed train and the demonstration of  aviation vocational technologies.

The Yunnan Vocational Degree College of Transportation under the Transportation Department is a full time Vocational college founded in 1953. There are currently 28 subjects, including practical studies in land, water, and air transport, being taught across 11 branches, and over 100,000 individuals have received diplomas.

Students from Myanmar are also attending these courses. On the morning of November 13, Myanmar delegation visited the "Eastern Rose Valley" Agricultural Park in Yang’an District, Chuxiong Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China.

They observed the cultivation of flowers such as the Chinese camellia, chrysanthemum, and roses through a modern greenhouse farming system, with production for both domestic and international distribution via the Kunming International Flower Center.

The delegation also explored modern agricultural practices for landscape beautification with rose plants, as well as government-supported loans aimed at developing advanced mechanized agriculture. Following this, the Myanmar delegation, led by a Union Minister, visited the ancient cultural site of Kunluo to observe the preservation of historical buildings and artifacts and the development of both domestic and international tourism. From there, they continued to Chuxiong Prefecture in Yang’an District.
