Table Top Exercises: Myanmar and Russia co-chaired the event in Nay Pyi Taw

Table Top Exercises of the ADMM-Plus Experts' Working Group on Counter Terrorism opened in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.

The Working Group is co-chaired by Myanmar and Russia. The Chief of Staff (Army, Navy, Air) formally opened the ceremony and took a documentary photo together with representatives from ASEAN member states and dialogue partners.

Subsequently, the Co-chairs from Myanmar and Russia led the program according to the agenda. Senior military officers from 12 ASEAN Plus countries participated in the Table Top Exercises.

Myanmar and Russia have assumed joint responsibility as co-chairs of the ADMM-Plus Experts' Working Group on Counter Terrorism from 2021 to 2023. They are actively working to promote cooperation among member countries in counter-terrorism tasks.

In the evening, the Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy, Air) met with the Russian delegation, led by Lt-Gen Mikhail Nosulev, Deputy Commander of the Eastern Military District, who are attending the Table Top Exercises.

During the meeting, they cordially discussed matters pertaining to promoting friendship and cooperation between the two armies.
