SpaceX and T-Mobile have announced what the companies are calling the end of "dead zones" for cell service. SpaceX founder Elon Musk and T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert announced they team up to cover remote areas with wireless connectivity.
Sievert said he expects the service to be free of charge to most of the more popular plans in T-Mobile. While Musk announced the service will rely on Starlink satellites currently used in lab facilities.
Musk added even if an entire region or country lost connectivity because of a natural disaster, our phone would still work. The service would work with most of the phones in the market today.
