Türkiye's newly elected MPs take oath in parliament

Türkiye's newly elected MPs took the oath in Parliament on Friday. Recep Tayyip Erdogan's AKP party and its allies have a majority of the 600 seats in parliament following the parliamentary elections on 14 May. Erdogan is set to be sworn in on Saturday as head of state after winning a historic runoff election to extend his two-decade rule for another five years.
