Türkiye sends emergency aid to Sudan

Türkiye continues its large-scale humanitarian effort for Sudan, which has been severely affected by a civil war that began two years ago, followed by subsequent disasters.

The second ship carrying emergency aid, named the ‘Senator’, departed from the Mersin Port, bound for the troubled region. Under the coordination of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency, Türkiye launched a comprehensive aid campaign primarily focusing on addressing the critical shelter needs arising from mass migration. The initial phase of the operation is focused on providing essential temporary housing. The second vessel is transporting 10,080 tents to the region to help displaced populations.
