Türkiye’s eastern regions are under the influence of cold weather. In Kars’ Sarıkamış district, freezing temperatures and frost were effective. Cold conditions also persist in Ardahan, where the Göle district recorded –12.8°C, causing the area to freeze. Partial ice formation occurred on the surface of the Kura River.

Last night, temperatures in the city dropped to –9°C, while thermometers in Göle showed –12°C. The lowest temperature recorded nationwide was –13°C in Yüksekova, Hakkari. Throughout the night, low temperatures caused frost to accumulate on trees, car windows to ice over, and partial freezing to form on the Kura River in Sarıkamış.
