Systematic Irrigation Process: MOALI Deputy Minister meets with Water Users Group

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw met with the leaders of the Water Users Group for the Yezin catchment area near Thet Hnin Inn Village in Zeyathiri Township on August 19th.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister discussed the importance of implementing a systematic irrigation process to ensure efficient water supply for each crop and to minimize wastage.

He emphasized the need for coordinating crop cultivation times among adjacent farms and called for the cooperation of farmers to facilitate convenient farming practices and promote regional development.

In addition, the Deputy Minister mentioned that the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department has plans to tap into more water resources to enable triple-cropping each year.

Following the discussion, the Deputy Minister and party conducted an inspection of the Sluice Gate on the Kyun Yaung-Paung Laung Drainage between Htantabin and Ywa Thit Villages.

This gate is designed to recycle wastewater from farmlands in the upper catchment areas.
